The annual talent show put on by student council is coming up tomorrow. Students who purchased tickets will be released at 11:06, which is the beginning of 7th period on early release schedule.

“This is my tenth year being involved in the production of the talent show,” said Spanish teacher and student council sponsor Elma Garnett. “The student council puts on the show every year.”

There will be about ten contestants involved in the talent show this year.

“I judge the talent show contestant auditions every year,” Garnett said. “Usually the president of student council will also judge the auditions with me.”

Some contestants are expected to return from previous years, but for some, this will be their first time performing.

“I’m going to be singing,” Jalena Rostad said. “This is my very first talent show to participate in.”

This years judges for the talent show will be Junior Madyson Edgar, history teacher Mark Guszak, counseling secretary Kristy Morua, English Teacher Daniel Coronado and counselor Jennifer Adams.

“I’m excited to be noticed and to be able to share my talent,” Rostad said. “I hope the song that I have chosen will affect and help people see the bright side.”

The prizes this year will be Storms gift cards for the top three performances.

“I’m very, very nervous because I don’t want to freeze up on stage,” Rostad said. “I  don’t want to be judged negatively.”
