New signs and decals were hung around the building over Christmas Break to inspire students and bring recognition to clubs and organizations.
“Part of the LHS mission is to ignite excitement in our students and staff to choose kindness, show ambitions to be great and to do our absolute best in all we do,” Principal Paul Weinheimer said. “We are always looking for ways to encourage and motivate our LHS Family and we believed this was a nice way to help people visualize success.”
There are signs with positive quotes at the bottom of the stairwells in the A building and decals outside of Law and EMT.
The Law decal is designed to look like a Texas State Trooper badge.
“I am a retired Texas State Trooper,” Law Enforcement teacher Michael Tatum said.

The signs in the stairwell say to choose kindness, dream big and believe.
“I feel like they’re very positive, and without that kind of motivation, there would be no Badger pride,” junior Ailani Orvis said. “It really makes me jump with Badger joy.”
The school will continue to add decals for other clubs and organizations as well as adding labels for the subjects in each hall.
“We will continue to think of ways to bring positive attention to our students and programs,” Weinheimer said. “We hope that our staff and students enjoy the signs and it helps to inspire the greatness within each of them.”
Junior Landon Harvey said that he’s seen the Law and EMS teams work so hard and to see the decals right where they practice everyday makes him proud.
“Genuinely, I appreciate the recognition knowing in the past these teams have gone unknown,” Harvey said. “As of this year, each team’s growth and recognition has been unmatched, and the murals just added to that feeling of success.”
