Cheers erupt around the gymnasium as he makes his reappearance. The embodiment of Badger Pride gracing us with his presence. Finally, the hero we needed is back.
Badgerman made his first appearance in two years during the pep rally Aug. 30.
“It was a Badgerrific return,” Principal Paul Weinheimer said. “Which means it was awesome. The energy in Badger Nation is outstanding and our students and staff are working hard and getting better every day!”
Badgerman has been away for two years. Weinheimer, Badgerman’s closest contact, said Badgerman just had some negativity to stomp out around the world.
“There was a bit of a nostalgic feeling seeing Badgerman come back after years of being silent,” English teacher Alison Brayton said. “But, in a weird way it also felt like no time had passed, and he had just been at all pep rallies.”
Many underclassmen did not believe he existed. Multiple bets were made about whether or not Badgerman would attend the pep rally.
“The freshmen were not as excited, like they were hype but confused, but I think it’s because they didn’t understand his story,” junior Mia Bazaldua said. “They didn’t even believe he was real.”
There is still a lot of mystery surrounding Badgerman. Many teachers wonder if Badgerman works alone or not, and where he goes when it’s not football season.
“Don’t you think Badgerman needs a sidekick, just like all other superheroes and great hype-men?” Brayton said. “Is he lonely? Is it stressful carrying the responsibility of all Badger pride on his back by himself?”
Badgerman will be forever known as Badger Nation’s number one hype man.
“Badger-Man is the embodiment of Badger pride, so when he is around, the whole school is hype,” English teacher Nathaniel Brayton said.
Bazaldua said that there are still unanswered questions she has, but now that he’s home we can rest easier.
“Badgerman, your return has changed my life,” Bazaldua said. “I’ve spent countless hours studying your case. Thank you for coming home.”

Badgerman, welcome back home. We’ve been waiting for your return ever since you left. Badger Nation hasn’t been the same. Now that you’re back we’re better than ever! I cried when I saw you in person, it was the happiest I’ve ever been. Miko Lemari, another great story you wrote on our hero. We still have some work to do, but we can rest easy now that he’s back.
