Football Team To Play Liberty Hill In Round 4 Of Playoffs Tomorrow
The football team will play the Liberty Hill Panthers in round 4 of the State playoffs in Cedar Park at Gupton stadium at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow.
“We just focus on ourselves, not the outside noise coming from everyone talking about us,” senior Brenton Webb said.
Last time these two teams faced off was the first week of district play when the Badgers defeated the Panthers at home by a score of 52-10 on Oct. 18. However, the Panthers have won their last 4 playoff games leading to this point and only allowed 26 points scored on them throughout the entire 4 playoff games.
“I think it will be a good game of two high caliber State Championship worthy teams,” Liberty Hill fan Maknezie Hillsborro said.
Liberty hill defeated Columbia, West Coloumbia Charter, La Feria and El Campo by 20+ points.
“I think if we will defeat [Lampasas] we have to get off our blocks and we have to have a better game than the last time we went against you guys,” Liberty Hill junior Austin Teal said. “Good luck to both teams,”
Lampasas has defeated Fredericksburg, Brazosport, Gonzales and Needville by high margins as well.
This game will determine who will go on to the State Semifinals to play the winner of Carthage and Midlothian Heritage.
