The midterm exam schedule has been finalized with the final two days before Christmas Break having four exams per day.
“We wanted to make a schedule that works well for attendance reasons and have morning classes in the morning and afternoon classes in the afternoon,” Principal Paul Weinheimer said.
The exemption list release date is still to be determined by administration, but Weinheimer said it is generally two weeks before the exam.
“Exemptions will be determined with absences and tardies,” Weinheimer said. “The number of tardies will be higher.”
Due to issues with needing to average 45 minutes a class daily, there is no early release on the last final exam day, like there has been in the past.
“We do not have early outs anymore, but if we did, we would look at doing the exams over three days,” Weinheimer said. “Many students will have exemptions so that will help them reduce the number of exams they have to take.”
Some students prefer a three day exam schedule, but others have their reasons for preferring a two day exam schedule.
“I prefer two days with four exams each day because it gets the exams finished earlier than the other option,” sophomore Brandin Cooper said.
