After an indefinite hiatus, DoorDash has returned for selected dates twice a month for the remainder of the year starting today.
“I wanted to ensure that our staff was ready to receive DoorDash for the dates we were willing to accept it,” Principal Paul Weinheimer said. “ It is extra work for our office staff and with the other extras at the beginning of the school year, I did not want to add something else.”
Weinheimer made the decision for other reasons too.
“We also had a change in personnel at our hut that is our first level of security for the school,” Weinheimer said.
Weinheimer said while some students were frustrated with being unable to use DoorDash, some appreciated not spending the extra money. However, some students disagree and prefer the old way the school did DoorDash.
“I don’t mind the change that we can only DoorDash every other Monday, but I think everyone would prefer if it was every Monday,” sophomore Cinai Testamark said.
For days students can’t DoorDash, Weinheimer believes that school lunch is always a good option, and some students agree.
“I think that the school lunches are very diverse and I like the options it gives us to choose from,” Testamark said.
