The Homecoming football game and pep rally took place Sept. 20. The Badgers faced the Wimberley Texans and won 35-27.
Friday’s pep rally included a Flames dance with teachers.
“We had two practices after school over the course of about two weeks,” English teacher Allison Brayton said. “One was an hour and a half, and the other was only an hour.”
Brayton said the Flames officers taught teachers the dance for the pep rally.
“They would teach us a couple of moves at a time, then they would just keep adding onto them,” Brayton said. “After a while they finally added the music, which was really really fast.”
Sophomore Jessica Mahoney chose assistant principal Ryan Race to dance with her.
“I chose Mr. Race for my teacher because he has a very special place in my heart,” Mahoney said. “He has been there for me since day one.”
Sophomore Hayden Mckee said her favorite part of Homecoming was the announcement of Homecoming Queen at the football game.
“Especially when I got to give away the bouquet of flowers to one of the girls on the court,” Mckee said.
Sophomore Jannah Meza said the game and pep rally were entertaining, fun and unique.
“My favorite part was when the homecoming court did their introductions,” Meza said. “Jimmy winning was also a memorable moment for everybody.”
