The band will sell popcorn to fundraise for the next two weeks.

“We are fundraising money for the spring trip to Disney World,” head band director Eduardo Zambrano said. “We get to perform at the Disney Studios.”

Unlike other band fundraisers in the past, the Poppin Popcorn fundraiser is completely online.

“All transactions are online, and all products will be shipped directly to the buyer’s house,” Zambrano said. “This fundraiser will be a lot easier on students, and also people buying the popcorn.”

The Badger Band will also partake in other fundraisers this year.

“We will probably be doing a donation based fundraiser later in the year, as we get closer to the trip,” Zambrano said. “Middle school band students will be doing the World’s Finest Chocolate fundraiser, but the high school will not.”

The band has not been on a trip since 2019 due to COVID-19.

“I’m super excited to go,” senior Ella Hairston said. “I love Disney, and I think it’s so cool that it’s a ‘going away’ trip. We haven’t had a high school band trip since I’ve been here, so I hope this will be a good first and last one.”
