Lady badger volleyball began their season before the first day of school. They have already played in twenty games. They will play tomorrow at home against Academy at 5:00 p.m.

“I think this season we are bringing a whole new name to Lampasas volleyball,” senior Gracey Ullevig said. “We are doing a whole lot better than we have in previous years.”

Volleyball season is starting off with a 10-10 record. They will play in their first district game Sep. 29.

“Before district, I’d like my team and I to be more consistent with how we play,” senior Kayli Syx said. “Also improving the routine parts of the game. Doing the little things right [to prepare for district.]”

This year, the girls are playing in a new district. This district will include Burnet, Gateway, Lago Vista, Jarrell and Marble Falls.

“I think It’s very exciting,” Ullevig said. “We get to see new schools and we also have our rivals (Burnet) in our new district which I think is going to make for very exciting games to watch.”

At this time in 2021, the volleyball team was 8-17. Their record has been improving each season with more wins and less losses.

We have had our ups and downs,” head volleyball coach Christy Wiley said. “But I definitely think we are headed in the right direction.”
