The Badgers will travel to Burnet to take on the Burnet Bulldogs tonight at 7:30 p.m.

The Badgers are coming off a blowout win vs Taylor Ducks last week by a score of 59-0.

The Bulldogs are 4-2 (1-0) and beat the Fredericksburg Billies last week by a score of 21-6. The Badgers are 4-0 (1-0). Both teams are undefeated in district and look to continue that streak tonight.

¨I think it will be a good game,” Burnet High School student Makayla Porter said.  “Your team is good, but so are we so I don’t think it will be a blowout but I do think it is a tough challenge for us (Burnet).”

Dave Campbell’s Texas Football has the Badgers number 2 in the state with the Argyle team as number 1.

The state ranked Badgers have proven to be a force within 4A by the impressive wins over the season with wins over Taylor, Stephenville, Brownwood and Wimberely.

The students are sure to follow the team tonight to go to Burnet to watch tonight’s game.

¨I wholeheartedly believe the student section will be loud and proud tonight in Burnet,¨ senior Addison McDonald said. ¨I have complete faith that the boys will come out tonight with another win, especially speaking statistically. We beat Brownwood by 32 points at the beginning of the season. While Burnet on the flip side lost to Brownwood by 14.¨

Fans do think this game will be good, however expect the Badgers to win.

¨If we perform at full potential, like we typically do, I believe that this could be a blowout game,¨ McDonald said.
