Project Graduation To Host Homecoming Dance Saturday
Project graduation class of 2020 is presenting a homecoming dance this year. The dance will take place on Sept. 21 at Bar 17 in downtown Lampasas.
“I am excited about the dance,” junior Kaitlin Arnold said. “I feel like we are one of the few schools that doesn’t have a yearly homecoming dance and it’s something I have wanted.”
Informal or formal dress is acceptable.
“The dance will be open to anyone high school aged,” PEIMS secretary Dawn Fernandez said. “We want to include everyone we can including other students from other schools.”
Tickets will be sold for $10 in Fernandez’s office. Tickets will be sold at the door of the dance, but prices will raise to $15 at the door.
“The dance is something new so I want to go check it out,” sophomore Jara Craig said. “It gives me an opportunity to dress up and take pictures for a reason. I also want to support the seniors profits.”
Cookies and other snacks have been donated for the students attending the dance.
“I am hoping for 100 or more students attend the dance,” Fernandez said. “The more that show up the better.”
