Incoming freshmen had the opportunity to interact with teachers and high school students on the evening of March 26 before they registered for classes later that week.

Principal McQueen said that he feels good about hosting Activity Night for the students.

¨This is the idea of our counselling center and they always do an awesome job,¨ McQueen said. ¨Our teachers have gotten really involved and have set up booths. We are all really excited about holding this, and I thank everyone who got involved this night.¨

At the beginning of Activity Night, incoming freshmen all fled through the cafeteria in search of what class they would sign up for.

¨This allows the students to see the different things that they can take,¨ McQueen said. ¨It shows the versatility that our students can have when on the high school level.¨

The teachers communicated with the incoming freshmen and many booths also had high school students present about the classes.

¨It is a special thing that we are doing tonight,¨ English teacher Sandra Bobo said. ¨We all have gotten really involved and I am excited to meet my future students.¨

Incoming freshman Emory Ettman said that she is nervous to head into the high school next year.

¨I plan on taking animation classes and many different things,¨ Ettman said. ¨I think tonight helps me find out who my teachers are and give me a chance to see what it is I will be doing next year.¨
