Students attended the first pep rally of the year Sept. 5. The theme was neon, and it featured the class presidents and vice presidents of every class playing a game, dances from the cheerleaders and flames and a skit from the mascots.

“There was lots of student involvement,” basketball coach Jaden Napolez said. “Everyone from the band, to the cheerleaders, and the flames all seemed really united. Everyone did a great job portraying that.”
Like Napolez, many students enjoyed the interaction during the pep rally.
“The pep rally was entertaining and visually appealing,” sophomore Bailey Merritt said. “I think that the performances were done a lot better, and the games were much more exciting.”
Napolez also spoke at the pep rally. He said he was asked to be a voice and to speak about why everyone was there that day.
“I feel like pep rallies in the past, the kids didn’t really know what was going on.” he said. “I wanted to try and help things be smooth, and let kids know that we actually get to do a pep rally. “It’s a privilege we get to do it.”
