Football To Play Elgin Tonight At Home
September 3, 2021
The Badger football team will play Elgin at home tonight. It is the second game of the season, and the Badgers hope to make a comeback after losing to Brownwood by three points Aug. 27.
“I feel excited about my first home game because it will be my last first home game in Lampasas,” senior Case Brister said.
It is also Senior Night, and parents will be able to walk onto the field with their senior kids.
“I am excited to be back at Badger Stadium with full attendance,” defensive coordinator Sam Waldrip said. “It should be an awesome environment for football. I think our crowd will really bring out the best in our team. I do think Elgin will be a great opportunity for our team to play fast, physical and fearless.”
In 2020, ticket sales were limited, meaning mostly only parents were able to make it. Tonight, the stadium will probably be near filled, seeing that tickets are not limited. Now students, parents and local football fans are able to watch the game live and in person.
“My expectations of the first home game are to have a full house and a loud and proud Badger Nation, supporting all those who make Friday nights special,” athletic director and head football coach Troy Rogers said.
